Mariana Piccolomini, BSc, MSc

Mariana Moraes Piccolomini obtained her bachelor degree in Biological Sciences from Methodist University of São Paulo, Brazil in 2007. She was trained in embryology at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva in 2010 in São Paulo, Brazil. She obtained her Master in Science from Biological Institute, São Paulo, Brazil on “Changes in Morphology and Viability in the development of in vitro fertilized bovine embryos with semen experimentally contamined with Shiga stx2 toxin produced by Escherichia coli”in 2010. She is currently a senior embryologist at the Huntington Ibirapuera Unit.

Eduardo Motta, MD, PhD

Eduardo Leme Alves da Motta obtained his medical degree in 1987 at Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, Brazil and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 1990. He also completed his training in Human Reproduction at Huntington Reproductive Center, Pasadena, California, USA (1994).  Eduardo has been the Medical Director of Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva in Brazil since 1995. He earned his PhD on “Blastocyst vs. Cleaving Embryo Transfer: A Prospective Randomized Trial” from Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil in 1998 and he is Adjunct Professor in the same University since 1996. He has co-authored multiple research papers in international scientific journals. Dr. Motta main research interest is evaluating how hormone imbalance during IVF treatment may influence clinical outcomes.

Paulo Serafini, MD, PhD

Paulo Cesar Serafini obtained his medical degree in 1975 at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (1977) and University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland, USA (1983-87). He also completed his residency in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Southern California School Of Medicine, USC Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, USA (1985-1986). He served as Director of the Huntington Reproductive Center, Pasadena, California, USA, from 1988 to 1997 and Director of the Huntington Memorial Hospital, IVF Laboratory, Pasadena, California, USA, from 1988 to 1997. Paulo has been the Medical Director of Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva in Brazil since 1995. He earned his PhD on “Protein profile on the luteal phase endometrium” from University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil in 2007 and he is Assistant Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics in the same University since 2013. He has co-authored multiple research papers in international scientific journals. Dr Serafini main research interest is how to improve clinical outcomes in patients affected by endometriosis.

Mauricio Chehin, MD, PhD

Mauricio Barbour Chehin obtained his medical degree in 2002 at Santo Amaro University, São Paulo, Brazil and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006 at State University of Campinas, Brazil. He was trained in reproductive medicine at Federal University of São Paulo (2008) and he is a specialist doctor in assisted reproduction since 2012 at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva in São Paulo, Brazil. He earned his PhD on “Insulin pathway gene expression in granulosa cells from lean and obese women with Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome during IVF cycles” in Federal University of São Paulo in 2015. He is also a founding member of the Brazilian Oncofertility Network – ReBOC and Assistant Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Faculty of Medicine of Santo Amaro. Dr Chehin main research interest is to improve fertility preservation options for oncological patients.

Claudia Gomes Padilla, MD, PhD

Claudia Gomes Padilla obtained her medical degree in 2003 at Federal University of Parana and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2007 at University of São Paulo, Brazil. She was trained in reproductive medicine at University of São Paulo and she is a specialist doctor in assisted reproduction at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva in São Paulo, Brazil since 2007 . She earned her PhD on “Influence of vitrification on mouse metaphase II oocyte spindle dynamics and chromatin alignment” in University of São Paulo in 2011. Claudia is Medical Director at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva since 2017.

Thais Domingues, MD, PhD

Thais Sanches Domingues obtained her medical degree in 2001 at State University of São Paulo and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006 at Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. She was trained in reproductive medicine at Federal University of São Paulo and she is a specialist doctor in assisted reproduction at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva in São Paulo, Brazil since 2007. She earned her PhD on “Proteomic Profile of Follicular Fluid from Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) submitted to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Compared to Oocyte Donors” from Federal University of São Paulo in 2017. Dr. Domingues is responsible for the Egg Donation Program at Huntington, São Paulo.

Aline Lorenzon, BSc, PhD

Aline Lorenzon-Ojea obtained her bachelor degree in Biological Sciences in 2007 from Institute of Biosciences, University of São Paulo, Brazil. She was trained in embryology at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva in 2008. She earned her PhD on “The possible role of a new Endoplasmic Reticulum stress marker in human placenta” from Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo, Brazil (2014), doing part of her work at  the University of California San Francisco, UCSF, USA (2010-2011). She continued her studies in ER stress and pregnancy as post-doctoral fellow at University of São Paulo (2014-2017) and the University of Cambridge, UK (2017). She is the Scientific Coordinator at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva, Brazil, since 2018.

José Roberto Alegretti, BSc, MSc

José Roberto Alegretti obtained his bachelor degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Santo Amaro (1992). He was trained in IVF techniques at Huntington Reproductive Center, Pasadena, CA, USA (1996) and embryo biopsy at Reproductive Biology Associates, Atlanta, GE, USA (1997) and Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain (1998). He obtained his Master in Science from Federal University of São Paulo (2012) on “In vitro development of human embryos using a dynamic microfluid culture compared to static conventional system“. He is the Embryology Laboratory Director at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva, Brazil since 1995.

Ana Luiza Rossi, BSc, MSc

Ana Luiza Rossi de Castro Lopes obtained her bachelor degree in Biological Sciences from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil (2002). She was trained in embryology at Hospital Pérola Byington Research Center (2006) and Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva (2007), São Paulo, Brazil. She obtained her Master in Science from Campinas State University (2017) on “Comparison of in vitro fertilization rates of oocytes and embryonic development using two seminal processing techniques”. She is the Embryology Laboratory Supervisor at Huntington Campinas unit, Brazil since 2013.

Joyce Fioravanti, BSc

Joyce Fioravanti obtained her bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences from Mogi das Cruzes University, SP, Brazil (2002). She was trained in oocyte cryopreservation at University of Bologna, Italy (2004), gamete and embryo vitrification at Michigan University, USA (2004), oocyte in vitro maturation at McGill University, Canada (2004), ovarian tissue cryopreservation at Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium (2015) and ovarian tissue vitrification at IVI Foundation, Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe, Spain (2015). She served as Embryology Laboratory Supervisor at Reproductive Medicine Associates, New Jersey, USA (2009-2011). She is the Embryology Laboratory Supervisor at Huntington Santa Joana unit, São Paulo, Brazil since 2013. Her main research interest is ovary cryopreservation for fertility preservation in oncological patients.

Bruna Barros, BSc

Bruna Camillo de Barros obtained her bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences from Methodist University of São Paulo, Brazil (2007). She was trained in embryology at Huntington Medicina Reprodutiva (2007), São Paulo, Brazil, in semen analysis and andrology tests at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA (2007) and embryo biopsy at University College London, UK (2012). She is the Embryology Laboratory Supervisor at Huntington Vila Mariana unit, Brazil since 2011.
